TRAINING

I was trained at a dedicated hospital for Mothers with Newborn babies: Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Melbourne

• Registration to practice NSW Nurses Registration Board
• Blue Card – Approval to work with Babies
• Police Check – No criminal history
• Certificate of Insurance

• Either to breast feed or formula feed
• Establish a routine which suits your baby and your parenting stlye
• Advice on the practical side of setting up a nursery
• Crying baby: learning to recognise the different cries and whaty they mean by listening to and observing your baby
• Sleep inducators and patterns – tiredness, hunger, wind
• Bathing and hygiene
• Adventures – going out with your baby
• Play and fun – how much and when
• Tips to find the simple way to do things in your home to give you more time to enjoy your baby
